Hours

Rice Gallery Summer Hours are Monday through Friday,
9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Regular hours will resume in the fall.

University Holidays and Other Rice Gallery Closings

Rice Gallery will be closed July 3 - 7 in celebration of the July 4 holiday.

Admission is free.

Directions and Parking

Rice Gallery is on the ground floor of Sewall Hall, and is best reached by using Campus Entrance 1 at the intersection of Main Street and Sunset Boulevard. When the entrance road dead-ends, a left turn will take the visitor directly into paid visitor parking in the Founder’s Court Lot. Maps are available at: rice.edu/maps.

Payment is by credit card only; $1.00 per 17.5 minutes with a $10.00 daily maximum.

Free parking with shuttle bus service to the gallery is available at Entrance 13A off of Greenbriar. Take the Greenbriar shuttle to Bus Stop A. Then take the Inner Loop shuttle to Allen Center. Sewall Hall is across the street from Allen Center.

Rice Gallery is also accessible by METROrail at the Hermann Park/Rice University station.

Access to the Disabled

Wheelchair access is on the south side of Sewall Hall, the left side of the building.
