Diane Landry is one of Canada’s foremost installation and performance artists. Rice Gallery is pleased to host her in a rare US appearance. She will perform her mesmerizing 30-minute work The Cod (La Morue) at the Rice Media Center. In a darkened theater Landry stands like a DJ, placing combinations of domestic objects on dual turntables backlit by halogen lights. Projected at fantastical proportions, the objects’ whirling shadows create an unexpected narrative.
