Rice University Art Gallery
Art history made daily.

Rice Gallery is the only university gallery in the nation dedicated to commissioning site-specific installation art.

Rice Gallery receives major support for exhibitions from its Members, The Brown Foundation, Inc., The Louisa Stude Sarofim 1995 Charitable Trust, and the Kilgore Endowment. Exhibition catalogues are funded in part by the Robert J. Card, M.D. and Karol Kreymer Catalogue Endowment. The gallery receives partial operating support from Agnes Gund, and the City of Houston. KUHF-FM and Saint Arnold Brewing Company provide in-kind support.

Rice Gallery Patrons

The Rice Gallery Patrons are a special group of donors who provide the primary support for exhibitions. Patrons’ commitment allows Rice Gallery to commission new work by outstanding artists. Patrons’ support is recognized on Rice Gallery’s web site and all printed materials, and each year they are welcomed at a special dinner in their honor.
